“Follow Through with God’s Prompting” July 10, 2025

As you observe people from all over the world, you will discover a central theme: people want love, acceptance, and, most of all, forgiveness when they fail. Regardless of a person’s age, religion, sex, ethnicity, education, culture, or lack thereof, the desire is the same… to live in peace. If we know these things, the power of wisdom is within us to reciprocate to each other’s needs with integrity. With your kindness, you can have a life-changing impact on a person’s life forever by the grace you extend to them.

No one would deny that we are all imperfect human beings desiring to live in peace and enjoy a purposeful and full life. We seek opportunities to meet others who share the same or similar life goals, hopes, and dreams, to build strong bonds that will endure throughout our lives. With open minds and hearts, we welcome others into our imperfect lives, thanks to the grace we have received from God. Sometimes, the individuals who come into our lives are different from what we envisioned, but based on our needs, we discover that God sent them.

I have observed situations where people demand more from others than they demand from themselves, which creates hostility and resentment. We have all been under increased duress in recent years, and I need not catalog all the things that we have had to endure as citizens of this country. Each week, it seems there are more challenges, whether things get better or not. Let us embrace one another with the grace that God has shown us. You can be the first person to understand the needs of your fellow human beings and be willing to do your part in promoting a positive environment for living together.

Life’s experiences, whether positive or negative, enable each of us to learn from our past and gain wisdom from our failures to better the world. With faith in God and an understanding that we are all interconnected, let us pray for one another to endure for the prize of eternal joy.

Romans 5:8 NLT “But God has shown His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
