My Christmas Prayer To You
By Pastor Bill Hayden

To all my beloved family and friends,
Christmas time is the highlight of family gatherings, especially centered around good food, gift exchanges, making merry, playing games and more good food. Some of you may have attended special Christmas programs at your church or participated in a play.
Can you remember the gift you just had to have from Stana Claus (your parents)? You had no idea the sacrifices that they had to make to purchase the toy that would bring you a little temporary joy. Like most children, by the time March rolled in, that item had lost its luster and you were ready to move on to something new that the Mattel Company was introducing for the Spring.
As you think about the many Christmas celebrations of the past with family and friends, may your hearts overflow with abundant gratitude. More than the tangible gifts that were given and received, I think that you can agree, it was really the people in your life that mattered. Some families had their way of dealing with their individual struggles and you had the grace to care about them.
Each year the Christmas message remains the same…. that God gave the most precious gift in sending His Son to give us everlasting life in His eternal presence. I pray that this Christmas will be a defining moment in your life by deciding to receive the Gift that keeps on giving and never losing value over time. May you secure your eternal destiny and live each day with the assurance of heaven as your final home.
1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
