22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,

Thank God for A Faithful Family

Scripture Text: Romans 8:12-17 (NLT)

12  Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.

13   For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

14   For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

15   So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”

16   For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

17   And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

Applications:

The Holy Spirit will lead us only if we are willing to follow.

Our sufferings will always be minor compared to the sufferings of Christ.

The Extraordinary If

Scripture Text: 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 (NKJV)

13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

15  Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

Applications:

  1. Your divine connection gives you the power to make a life changing difference.

  2. When you have met the requirement, only then can you expect change.

Real Men Worship God

Scripture Text: Psalms 1:1-6 (NKJV)

1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Applications:

1. True prosperity is not getting everything that you want but by understanding the role of faith and trust in a disciplined life.

* You are a blessed man because you realize your origin and who you represent.
* You are a blessed man because you embrace accountability.
* You are a blessed man because you continually reinforce your commitment.
* You are a blessed man because you hold to what is Truth.
* You are a blessed man because you live expectantly, while faithfully trusting God.
* You are a blessed man because you are not influenced by the promises of sinful men.

The Joy in Suffering

1 Peter 4:12-19 (NKJV)

12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.

17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now

“If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”

19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
