Loaded And Fully Equipped – Part 2

2 Peter 1: 5-11 NIV

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;

6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;

7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.

8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,

11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Application:
Being effective in God’s work requires you to seek His wisdom and how He uses it.
Being effective in God’s work requires you to be led by the Holy Spirit.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;

6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;

7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.

Application:
Read and apply the instruction manual for best results.
You have been equipped to perform at maximum capacity by walking in the Spirit.

You Are Where You Are Needed Most – Part 3

1 Corinthians 12:27-31 New King James Version (NKJV)

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.

29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?

30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

31 But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

Application:

God doesn’t dispense his gifts to us to not use us.

Know your calling, know your gift/gifts and strengthen the Body of Christ

You Are Where You Are Needed Most – Part 2

1 Corinthians 12:23-27 (NKJV)

23  And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty,

24  but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having
given greater honor to that part which lacks it,

25  that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.

26  And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is      honored, all the members rejoice with it.

27  Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

Application:

God has placed you in the body to share your gift for the benefit of all.

The Key to your productivity in the Body is your submission to the Head.

You Are Where You Are Needed Most – Part 1

1 Corinthians 12:18-22 (NKJV)

18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.

19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body.

21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”

22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.

Application:

God places us in the Body where we can do the most good, no matter what others may think.
Don’t be in rebellion against the will of God for He knows what is best for His Body.

Under Construction – Part 3

Philippians 1: 7-11 (NKJV)

7 just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.

8 For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment,

10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,

11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Application:

Live life in purpose to the glory and praise of God.
A Bad Day with the Lord is better than a Good Day without Him.

Under Construction – Part 1

Philippians 1:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
1 Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ,
To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

Application:
Always be grateful for who God Brings into your life for your good.
Don’t Fail to show your gratitude when you’re given an opportunity.

Five Signs of a Father who Prospers

Psalms 1:1-4

1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the [c]rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

He is Blessed

He Embraces Accountability

He Continually Reinforces Commitment

He Holds to what is True

He Lives Expectant

Application:

True prosperity is not getting everything that you want, but by understanding the role of a disciplined life.

Why Men Suppress the Truth

Romans 1: 16-20
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

The Blind See

John 9:35-41 New King James Version (NKJV)

35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of [a]God?”

36 He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?”

37 And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”

38 Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him.

39 And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”

40 Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?”

41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

John 10:1 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Application:

Clear vision only comes by revelation of Jesus Christ.  Your view will always determine how you respond to truth.
